Almost done with the frame as I install the bow board along with the gunwales, stringers and keelson. This is the kayak I will use in the California 100 river race on the Sacramento river on June 11.

In this exciting episode I am attaching the stern board to the kayak and showing the process of shaping the ends of the stringers and gunwale so they will line up nice to get lashed next.

Lashing the frames is such fun. Again and again. I think there are 59 lashing points on Whiplash. They are what holds the boat together. The artificial sinew has a 75 pound break strength which I found out when it broke into my lip. So cool, too bad it was off camera....
